Can anyone tell me the diameter of the pin at the back of the anchor roller tray?  I was thinking of using a piece of pvc pipe over the pin to reduce the effects of the chain dragging over the top of it.  Has anyone attempted this or do you have a better solution.    Love to hear it.  Thanks

Richard,

I believe the original pin was 1/2".  My new pin is 5/8" and I installed a sked 40 Pvc pipe over it years ago.  It works fine.

Gentlemen, thanks for that info.  I will take a piece of pvc pipe down to the boat in April.  I have a "up only" windless and if you don't hand over hand the anchor down, the chain runs out very quickly and drags across that pin.   Undecided
